The retrovive music video shows the reverse evolution of Windows logos – from 10 through 8, 7, XP, 95, and so on to 1.0. The signature to the post indicates that Microsoft is introducing a new Windows 1.0 operating system with the ability to run programs for MS-DOS and “Paint”. The company also changed its avatars in social networks to the Windows 1.0 logo. Microsoft has not explained commentators, what happens instead injects intrigue statements like, “Wait for the update”, “Stay Connected” and so on.

As considers the Engadget edition, since Windows 1.0 was released in 1985, it is likely that Microsoft is thus promoting the third season of the Strange Things series, which takes place at about the same time. This theory is indirectly indicated by the fact that the hashtag #DoGreatThings – “Do great things” is indicated on the Microsoft page on Instagram.
