Upcoming Apple Watch Might Feature a Camera

0

According to Apple’s AppleInsider patent, in future Apple Watch models, a camera may appear that is built into the strap. As planned by the engineers, the module will be built into the end of the bracelet, which can be detached for convenient shooting.

In addition, the patent documents describe a strap with two cameras in “opposite optical directions”. Photo through Apple Watch can be done using voice control or compress the bracelet in a certain place.

Of course, the availability of a patent does not mean that such a solution will be implemented by Apple soon or ever. The document dates back to 2016, when Apple Watch Series 2 was introduced – since then, two more generations of smart watches have come out.
