Every year, Apple releases a grand update of iOS, full of new features, and every year we are surprised that this was not the case before. Sincere surprise has become an old good tradition, without which no release can do. But sometimes the benefits of innovations outweigh the surprise and desire to scold Apple for not implementing anything like this in previous versions of the operating system. We will talk about such innovations today.
You may have already encountered these features in person if you already installed the beta version of iOS 13. However, for those who are waiting for the final build of the update, they will be new.
Password from a mobile access point
You probably had to distribute the Internet to others from your iPhone. This feature is very convenient, except for the need to dictate out loud to the user for whom the access point is being organized, the password to connect. However, thanks to the new iOS 13 feature, you can share the connection without naming the password. It allows you to send the user added to your family an offer to connect instead of looking for a connection and manually typing the password.
Swipe on the keyboard
In iOS 13, finally, the opportunity to type messages without lifting your finger from the keyboard, but simply moving it from character to character. The first observers report that the set feature with keyboard works quite well, but, unfortunately, is not yet available on the Russian layout. Let’s hope that the innovation will work in Russia to the release of the final version of iOS 13.
Connecting the controller from Xbox or PS 4
It’s unclear how Apple managed to negotiate with Sony and Microsoft, but iOS 13 does allow you to directly connect Xbox One and Play Station 4 controllers to the iPhone. Thanks to them, you can comfortably play games from the App Store, streaming services like Steam Link and, obviously, Apple Arcade. Simply activate the pairing mode on the controller, turn on the Bluetooth on your iPhone, and then connect them to each other.
Karaoke mode in Apple Music
Despite the fact that in Apple Music and before there were lyrics, with the release of iOS 13 karaoke mode became available to users. It allows words to appear on the screen at the speed at which they sound in the song, helping to maintain the rhythm if you sing along with the performer.
Connecting to Wi-Fi from the Control Point
Apple asked for this opportunity for several years, but it appeared only in iOS 13. With the release of the update, users will be able to choose Wi-Fi networks right in the Control Point by expanding the list of available connections using the 3D Touch gesture. A similar feature is available when connecting to Bluetooth.
